Google Duo and Google Meet will merge to form Google Meet Later This Year.

Yes, it's perplexing, but Google claims the changeover will go more smoothly because the two services will be combined to make a single video communications service.

Google Duo and Google Meet, two of its video calling apps, will be combined, the company revealed on Thursday. The business announced that it would merge the missing capabilities between two of its well-liked video calling apps. Google will start integrating Meet capabilities into Duo in the upcoming weeks.
The business wants to make its communication services simpler. The business said in a blog post: "In the coming weeks, we're introducing all the Google Meet features to the Duo app, so users can quickly arrange a video conference at a time that works for everyone or continue using video calling to instantly connect with a person or group."
Users do not need to download Google Meet or Google Duo individually as a result of this. Later this year, Google stated, the Duo app will become Google Meet. Google Meet will eventually replace Google Hangouts as the only free video chat service offered by Google.
Doodles, masks, effects with family mode, group conversations for up to 32 people, and device compatibility for video calling are just a few of the features that Google added to Duo. In the upcoming days, the lacking features will arrive at Meet.
Since it became universally accessible in 2020, Google Meet has added over 100 new features and enhancements. Live captions, a simple UI, virtual backgrounds and effects, and other innovative features are just a few.
According to Dave Citron, the director of products for Google's video products, the intricacy of Duo, particularly inside the hood, is what led to the decision to combine it with Meet. According to Citron, the service is relatively well-liked in developing nations, particularly in areas with spotty or inconsistent network connectivity.
Google wants to provide all of the features of both of its apps. In the meanwhile, it added, the business does not want to abandon any users as it works to combine the two programmes.

Is SEO Really Dead? The Shocking Truth You Need to Know!

Let’s get real for a second. Every few years, someone pops up and declares, “SEO is dead!” And every time, I can’t help but roll my eyes. Spoiler alert: SEO is very much alive. In fact, it’s thriving. But why does this myth keep coming back? Maybe it’s because SEO isn’t as flashy as social media or as instant as paid ads.
